Warm and cool tones? Check
Light and dark shades? Check
Very pigmented and buttery? Check

Over the past couple of weeks I have slowly started to declutter my makeup collection. Why slowly? Well, just thinking about getting rid of everything that I don't use daily at one sit-down, that would probably be 80% of my collection, stresses me out. So I'm taking baby steps, meaning, I take a product and incorporate it into my daily makeup routine. If after a couple of days I find that I would prefer to replace it - it goes into the "give away to friends" box.
While going through my eye shadow palette drawer, I stumbled upon this palette and had this "ahh I've missed you" moment that was then replaced with questions "Why did I stop using you?", "Did I write that review about you?". After a short browse through the blog and my picture folder I realize that indeed I had planned to write a review, but I never actually got to it.
I'm not going to write a lengthy** review, but here's what you should know: The Avant Pop! palettes have been out for a while now. Judging by the reviews on the official NYX page, they were released approximately 2+ years ago. In the collection you can find 3 different looking palettes, similar like with the Ultimate Shadows collection. From the range my favorite by far (and yes I have the other 2 as well) is this - Nouveau Chic! It comes with 10 eye shadows in different finishes - 4 matte and 6 metallic. From the swatches (without a primer underneath) you can see how crazy pigmented they are. The metallic ones are super buttery and remind me of the Prismatic shadows, the matte shades are very much like the Nude Matte shadows. They all blend out like a dream. I really want to kick myself for not using it more often. What I like about it the most, besides the quality of the eye shadows, is the color range. You get warm and cool tones, light and dark shades all in one palette. The color combinations that you can create are endless. Well not endless, because those are only 10 shades, but you know what I mean, haha. Conslusion: Even though this is not a new palette and I've had it for a while, I think it's a really great every day palette that you should have if you're a) looking for one at the moment, b) are a ''good eye shadow'' palette collector.
Oh and by the way it's on sale now in the NYX Professional Makeup Riga store ;) You're welcome!

**- apparently, either I don't know the meaning of the word "lengthy" or "not".
