Because I just couldn't narrow it down to only ten products.
2015 was definitely the year of makeup for me. I did enjoy it before (though it doesn't seem like it when I look at older photos *shivers*) but last year I really dived deep into it, testing and trying different techniques, blending like there is no tomorrow. It was also last year when I started experimenting with makeup looks and fell so in love with the process and the end results that a new category was made here - Makeup Looks. As of today, those are definitely my favorite posts to make. I could just spend the days away doing my own or my friends makeups *daydreaming*
With constant testing and trying out a lot of different products and brands, it is inevitable to find things that just work the best on you. So here are those favorite products that my hand was stretching towards to the most. The first one is the Nivea Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm that I started to use after Nikkies constant ravings about it. And that girl didn't lie! It's a great primer that makes the application of a foundation a dream. Talking about foundations, last years favorite definitely was the Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25H Nude foundation in 100 Ivory. It is easy to blend, it really does last a full 8h day (have never had the need to test it for 25hrs) and the color match is the best I've ever found in a drugstore foundation. If I did switch up a little bit my foundation routine once in a while, then once I discovered the Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage concealer in 010 Porcellian I didn't look in any other direction and that was the only concealer I wanted to put under my eyes. This is the best concealer I have ever tried so far and I even like it better than my MAC Pro Longwear concealer that I was raving about in the middle of the year. When it comes to application of the foundation and concealer, my Beauty Blender was the one that stole the show. I got hooked right away after the very first use of it. After hearing a lot of amazing reviews I finally got the Bourjois Healthy Balance powder in 52 Vanille and it has been my go-to ever since. I've used it so much, that there is already a huge dent in it. Need to get a backup asap. As 2015 will go in the history as the year of #highlightonfleek, one of my most cherished product was my MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle. That thing can seriously give you the glow! Talking about #fleek products, Inglot's AMC Brow Liner Gel in 16 was the one that changed my brow game from 0 to 10. I have tried using a powder and a brow pencil to fill them in, but nothing makes them the way that the gel liner does. It's so good, that I have already hooked a friend of mine with it. I hadn't planned a makeup shopping spree whilst in Greece, but I did get some of Korres products and I was blown away by the quality of them. Korres Zea Mays Blush in 16 Natural quickly became an absolute favorite. Never would have I thought that I would prefer a brown/bronze shade blush. If you have been following me, then you've probably noticed that I love mH&M's Lip Colour-To-Go in Chocs Away a lot, so it's no wonder that I picked it as my favorite lipstick. It's the perfect "Kylie" shade that goes with every makeup look. After drooling and daydreaming about the Morphe Brushes palettes I finally found a place in Europe where you could get some of them (+ with free shipping!! win, win!). My first pick to test was the Morphe Brushes 35B palette and there hasn't been a day when I have regretted my choice. It's a fantastic palette with so many juicy colors and usually is the first one I pick up when going for a more colorful look or when I just want some pop of color as an accent. As for the mascara, the Oriflame's The One Eyes Wide Open mascara never dissapointed. I think I have gone through about four or five of them in a couple of months and I just stocked some more, just so I wouldn't run out of them. Ever, haha
What was your holy grail in 2015?
